Expert collision repair serving Kennebunk, Biddeford, Saco, and all of York County.
When your vehicle is damaged in a collision, every decision matters — from which shop you choose to whether OEM parts are used in the repair. At Weirs Collision Center in Arundel, Maine, we've been getting those decisions right for more than 65 years.
We are the only I-CAR Gold Class collision repair center in the area holding 8 active OEM manufacturer certifications. That means our technicians are trained and tested to repair your specific vehicle to factory specifications — not just to "good enough." Whether you drive a Chevrolet, a Kia, a Ram truck, or an INFINITI, we have the certification and the equipment to fix it correctly.
Every repair at Weirs comes with a lifetime warranty on workmanship and materials. We also work directly with all major insurance carriers, including State Farm, GEICO, MMG, and Patriot Insurance, so you never have to chase paperwork or fight for approvals.
No job too small. No damage too severe.
Our team handles the full spectrum of collision damage — from a scraped bumper to vehicles that need complete structural reconstruction.
Full front and rear collision repair including bumper replacement, hood, grille, headlights, and radiator support. Structural measurement and realignment included on every repair.
Computer-measured frame straightening using manufacturer-specified tolerances. We restore structural integrity before cosmetic repairs begin — safety comes first.
As a PPG-certified refinish shop, we use professional-grade PPG paint systems with computerized color matching. The result is a factory-quality finish that blends seamlessly — guaranteed.
Door panels, quarter panels, rocker panels, and side sills. We repair or replace depending on damage severity, always following OEM repair procedures for your vehicle.
Modern vehicles have radar, camera, and sensor systems built into body panels. After any repair, we perform required ADAS recalibration so your safety systems work as designed.
For vehicles with unibody construction, precision matters. Our technicians use manufacturer-specific repair procedures and measurement systems to restore factory geometry.
Hail dents, storm damage, and impact marks repaired using both traditional bodywork and paintless dent repair (PDR) where appropriate to preserve the factory finish.
Cracked, scuffed, or smashed bumpers repaired or replaced with OEM or OEM-equivalent parts. Painted and finished to factory color match before reinstall.
Windshield and auto glass replacement with ADAS recalibration where required. We coordinate directly with your insurer for glass claims.
Our collision repair process, step by step.
We believe in transparency. Here's exactly what happens to your vehicle from the moment it arrives to the day you pick it up.
01
Every vehicle starts with a comprehensive inspection. We photograph all damage, document every affected panel and system, and create a complete repair plan. If insurance is involved, this documentation goes directly to your adjuster — no delays, no back-and-forth.
02
We source OEM or OEM-equivalent parts through our certified supplier network. As an OEC-certified shop, our parts procurement follows manufacturer documentation to ensure fit, finish, and safety compliance. We order before teardown begins so there's no waiting once work starts.
03
Before any body panels are addressed, our technicians restore structural integrity using computer-aided measuring equipment and manufacturer-specific tolerances. For OEM-certified vehicles, this step follows the exact factory repair procedures for your make and model — not a generic approach.
04
Damaged panels are repaired or replaced. Our technicians weld, shape, and finish each panel to factory fit before it ever sees primer. Panel gaps, door alignment, and trim fit are checked against OEM specifications — not eyeballed.
05
Computerized color-matching pulls your vehicle's factory paint code and formulates an exact match. Our spray booths control temperature and humidity for a finish that cures correctly and holds its color for years. Every refinish is clear-coated and polished to factory gloss standards.
06
Modern vehicles require sensor and camera recalibration after structural or body repairs. We perform required ADAS calibration — for lane departure, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and more — so your safety systems work as the manufacturer designed them.
07
Every vehicle goes through a final quality control inspection before it leaves the shop. We review every repaired surface, check every system, verify the color match in natural light, and confirm the vehicle is clean inside and out. We don't hand keys over until we're proud of the result.
Your car repaired the right way. Not just any way.
OEM certification means the manufacturer has trained and tested our technicians on your specific vehicle's repair procedures, materials, and equipment requirements. When a GM-certified technician repairs your Chevrolet, they're following the same procedures GM would use — not guessing.
This matters for more than just quality. Improper repairs can void your vehicle's warranty, compromise its safety in a future collision, and reduce its resale value. Our 8 active certifications ensure none of that happens at Weirs.
Class
I-CAR Gold Class — Highest Training Standard
Fewer than 20% of U.S. shops hold I-CAR Gold Class. Every technician at Weirs completes ongoing role-specific training as vehicles evolve — including I-CAR aluminum repair certification for today's aluminum-intensive vehicles.

Collision Repair for All of Southern Maine
Collision repair questions, answered.
Common questions from Southern Maine drivers after an accident.
It depends on damage severity, parts availability, and insurance approval timing. Minor repairs may take 2–3 days. Major structural work can take 1–3 weeks. We give you an accurate timeline at drop-off and update you throughout — and if anything changes, we tell you before it affects your schedule.
Yes — that's the standard we hold ourselves to. With computerized color matching, OEM-spec panel fit, and factory clear coat, the repaired area should be visually indistinguishable from the original. We review the color match in natural light before delivery, and we don't release the vehicle if it doesn't pass.
OEM first, always. As a holder of 8 OEM certifications, we are required to follow factory repair procedures including parts specifications. If your insurer approves aftermarket parts, we discuss it with you first — the choice is yours. We never substitute parts without telling you.
A properly performed OEM-certified repair should not affect resale value — and in some cases, documentation of a certified repair can help. What hurts resale value is a poor repair: mismatched paint, improper parts, missing ADAS calibration. That's exactly what OEM certification is designed to prevent.
It depends on the damage. Airbag deployment, structural damage, or impact to safety systems means your vehicle should not be driven until inspected. If you're unsure, call us — we can advise over the phone or arrange transport. Never assume a vehicle is safe after a significant impact.
ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) includes radar, cameras, and sensors for features like automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and blind spot monitoring. Many of these are built into bumpers, mirrors, and windshields. After any repair involving these components, recalibration is required — and we perform it as part of the repair.
Real reviews from real collision repairs.
Every review is tied to a completed repair order at our shop. We do not write them, edit them, or choose which ones appear.
