What Does “DRP Partner” Mean for You?

State Farm’s Direct Repair Program (DRP) is a vetted network of body shops that meet State Farm’s standards for quality, customer service, and claims handling. As a DRP partner, we have a direct relationship with State Farm adjusters — which means faster approvals, fewer delays, and a smoother repair process for you.

When you bring your State Farm claim to Weirs Collision Center, we act as your advocate through the entire process. We document the damage, communicate directly with State Farm, handle supplement approvals when additional damage is found, and keep you updated at every step.

Local, Family-Owned

Your Right to Choose — Under Maine Law

Even if State Farm suggests another shop, you have the legal right to choose any licensed repair shop in Maine. Your insurer cannot require you to use a specific facility, and choosing a non-listed shop does not affect your coverage. We’re a DRP partner because we earned it — but you’re always free to choose us regardless of what State Farm recommends.

State Farm Claim FAQs

No. State Farm’s initial estimate is a starting point, not a final number. As a DRP partner, we review their estimate and submit supplements for any additional damage we find during disassembly. We negotiate directly with State Farm — you don’t have to.

Your deductible is the amount you pay out of pocket before insurance covers the rest. You pay that amount directly to us when you pick up your vehicle. State Farm pays the remaining repair cost directly to us as the DRP shop.

Insurance policies typically default to aftermarket or LKQ (like-kind quality used) parts to control costs. If OEM parts are required — for safety or because your vehicle is newer and parts availability favors OEM — we can request them and document the requirement. Some State Farm policies include OEM part coverage; check your policy or ask us during the estimate.
