ADAS Calibration in Southern Maine

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) — features like lane-departure warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring — rely on cameras, radar, and sensors mounted around your vehicle. After a collision, windshield replacement, or even a wheel alignment, those sensors can be knocked out of alignment. When that happens, they must be recalibrated to factory specifications so they read the road correctly.

Why Calibration Matters

A camera or sensor that’s off by even a fraction of a degree can cause a safety system to react late, early, or not at all. Recalibration isn’t optional — it’s a manufacturer-required step that ensures the systems designed to protect you actually work when you need them.

When ADAS Calibration Is Required

  • After a collision repair affecting bumpers, fenders, mirrors, or the grille
  • After windshield repair or replacement (front-facing cameras mount here)
  • After suspension or alignment work
  • Any time a sensor or camera is removed, replaced, or disturbed
