Built on trust.
Driven by craft.
For more than six decades, Weirs Collision Center has been Southern Maine's most trusted name in collision repair — earning that trust one vehicle, one family, and one honest repair at a time.
Arundel, Maine
How it all began.
In 1960, Bernon "Ben" Madore and his partner Norman Rochefort opened an auto body shop on Route 1 in Arundel, Maine — a stretch of road they both knew well and a community they were determined to serve with integrity.
The following year, in 1961, the business was formally incorporated as Weirs Motor Sales Inc. Ben's vision from the start was simple: fix every car right, treat every customer fairly, and never cut corners.
As the business grew, Ben expanded into a GMC franchise dealership — and later, in 1996, Arundel Ford — building one of the most respected multi-line automotive businesses in York County.
Through every chapter of growth, the collision center remained the heart of the operation: the place where Ben's values were most visibly on display, and where Southern Maine families have trusted their vehicles for over 65 years.

Ben Madore dedicated his life to this community and to the craft of collision repair. He was married to Suzanne (Watson) Madore for 64 years, and together they built not just a business, but a legacy that employed generations of the Madore family.
Ben wasn't just ahead of his time in the shop — he was ahead of the curve on sustainability. His solar-heated auto body facility earned national recognition, putting Weirs on the map as a forward-thinking leader in the industry.
Today, Weirs Collision Center carries Ben's standards forward: do the job right, stand behind your work, and never let a customer leave unsatisfied.
